For the record I am NOT saying the US criminal justice system is any less inhumane or less corrupt than Italy. At least in Italy they don't execute (innocent) people...

I understand these guys are serious criminals, but IMO a prisoner still has the right to be treated as a human being. To keep someone in solitary indefinitely, to deny them contact with their family in order to break them to get them to snitch, I don't think it's any better than waterboarding at Guantanamo.


What happened to this thing? We bend more rules than the Catholic Church.
