I think it was more the effect of Ross Perot than Murphy Brown. His nearly 20% of the vote came more from the GOP side than the Dems and it probably tilted the swing states into the Clinton side of the equation.
I've always felt that way, DM. An incumbent President, who wins a war, is supposed to be re-elected. Perot hurt George Sr. more than anything else in '92, including the lousy economy at the time. That Frank Perdue looking jerk
