Here's a story from my hometown, aka the Land of the World's Stupidest Criminals:
Police arrested Steve Cox, 35, after a 40-mile chase following a traffic stop. Police put a spiked stick across the road that blew out all of his tires, but he kept going, even after a tire ran off the rim, and finally stopped when the rim disintegrated. After he was cuffed he told deputies he knew they were following him, but said he had a lot on his mind and did not feel like stopping.
