Report: Michigan 10th fattest state

Michigan ranked as the tenth most obese state in the country, according to an annual report released today.

According to the seventh annual F as in Fat: How Obesity Threatens America's Future 2010 report, the state's adult obesity rate is 29.4 percent, and, in Michigan men are more obese than women at 29.8 percent.

More than two-thirds of states have adult obesity rates higher than 25 percent.

The report, released by the Trust for America's Health with collaboration with the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, also highlighted racial and ethnic disparities in obesity.
