I have been paying attention to that story. It certainly is strange. It's hard to imagine what could have happened since he seemed to be within the "eye" of others at all times.
I suppose everyone including (and maybe especially since she was the last one seen with him) the stepmother would be a suspect. However, FWIW, when the incident first occurred they said the stepmother had raised this boy since he was a baby. I don't know but damn, the more time that goes by the less hope I have. I pray he's ok.
