Ohio was set to execute a death row inmate today. Somehow he got enough pills and attempted suicide days before the execution. So now doctors have to get him "well enough" so that he can be given lethal injection. Taxpayers get to foot the additional medical bills while he recovers all so that he can be killed as planned. Uh, what?! Why did they even bother trying to save him in the first place when the same outcome would occur?


State law not only prescribes the manner of execution, but also the care of persons in its custody.
