I actually feel bad now for not having known you; the outpouring of grief and emotion when you passed was evident that you were a "man of respect", but this is a legacy of yours that has inspired me, and something i myself have respect for and will remember as your gift. Its like Puzo with a thread of originality runnning through it, like its Puzo's son or nephew or something. it sucks that i didnt read this thread much earlier. I am considering printing this up all nice for my own future enjoyment when and if it gets done (obviously with full accreditation to all writers, of course!) And its made me want to return to work on my own gangster/family epic, though im hard pressed writing at that calibre with the stage of skill im at currently.
