I suppose there are way more people packin' heat than anyone knows, but what exactly are these people (law abiding as they may be) protecting themselves from, in this case???? It's a "statement" of some sort. A form of intimidation plain and simple. Perhaps 15 minutes of fame? confused

I would assume these people would be totally understanding knowing that it is the Secret Service's duty to keep an eye them if they are totin' guns around any President, no?

Btw, can anyone answer why one needs an automatic weapon? I don't know a lot about guns but don't think that is a hunting gun. What purpose, or in what situation would that be used? confused
