Baseball needs a salary floor as well. Too many teams are making money instead of spending it. I know for a fact that Oakland does a lot better financially than their budget would suggest.

On my lunch break I was toying around with restructuring the league in two or three divisions, much like the Soccer clubs in England, that would include relegation. It's interesting to see who the top 10/20 teams are, and not surprising to see who the bottom 10 are. I'll have to post my dream scenario for baseball one of these days to see what you guys think. If only I was commissioner .
