Fredo is a fictional character and, thus, one can imbue him with just about any characteristic one wants. However, such characteristics should be expected to have some reasonable relationship with what the author has stated about the character. I find nothing in what Puzo or FFC wrote or represented to support any contention that Fredo was gay. On the other hand, Puzo does write about Vito's concern that Michael was gay.
