Let's all keep in mind what a President can and cannot do. For one, a President cannot legislate. Only the Congress can do that. A President cannot generate demand for products and services nor raise or lower supply.

A President can inspire though and propose legislation. However, that optimism will last only as long as it is consistent with reality and, to be successful, his legislative proposals must be consistent with any number of variables.
