Posting pictures in an ongoing thread was just so convenient and shows up right there with the other threads. Seeing pictures in a regular thread seems to stimulate more conversation and encourages people to post their own pictures without having to go to the trouble of learning how to start a separate album.

I guess it's sort of like starting a new thread... if someone wants to add their thoughts to the discussion they just do it, they don't have to start a new thread called "J Geoff's thoughts" or "Sicilian Babe's opinion" etc... It's a good thing too because I don't think anyone would ever read "Blibble's ramblings"
