My first viewing of the Sopranos was the original first episode, and could not believe that they had a mob boss disclosing his anxieties (AKA whining) to a therapist. So I had an immediate bias against the show. I always found Tony's lack of respect for Omerta and the overall, Oprah-soap-opera dimension to the show troubling, and kept me from ever being a real fan of the show.


Bias? Troubling? It's a TV show. By the way, Tony never violated Omerta. You are definitely in the minority. In fact, I don't recall anyone on this Board not likeing the show. Madonne!
