There were many HOFer's that weren't there, but still, it was REALLY impressive to see so many of them on the field at one time (ESPECIALLY as a "farewell" to the house that Ruth built).

Sure, it's hokey and sappy but I LOVE that kind of stuff! When I was a kid I used to love to see the annual oldtimer's game (they'd play two or three innings and it was awesome to see the old stars batting and fielding). They'd always introduce DiMaggio last (saving the best for last) and he'd always get a great ovation. They'd also introduce Mrs. Lou Gehrig and Mrs. Babe Ruth (sitting in a field box). True baseball royalty!

I would have loved to have been there. I know I would have been cheering to the point I didn't have a voice left.

BTW - It was fun to see Aramis Ramirez being introduced. He's the guy that kept me in stitches in Chicago!
