Laughton is getting pampered and doted on by his nurse who always insists he takes medicine, and gets rest, etc. BTW I believe it's Elsa Manchester?) Anyway she tells Laughton, "We must go upstairs now and go to bed" to which Laughton's straigt-laced, straigt-faced, deadpan reply is (loosely), "We? The prospect of that is rather nauseating madam."
What makes it even funnier is that they (Laughton and Lanchester) were married to each other in real life.
