I know that Shell did so, since I sold one of their former stations to a client, and there were several in the area for sale at the time. Talk about the Seller From Hell. We had the site in contract, my client was going through their due diligence (the environmental studies alone cost them a fortune), and then I got a call from Shell's attorney saying that because they hadn't passed a board resolution to officially sell the property (despite the fact that it was on the market for 6 months before my client bought it), they were putting a stop to the deal until the resolution was passed.

Gee, and we wonder why nothing gets done in corporate America??

But I digress! F**k the oil companies!! Is that more on topic??
