A woman living only a few blocks from me was put into a Hazmat suit and rushed to a hospital to be put into a containment unit. She apparently became infested with bird mites supposedly caught from her apartment.
Her daughter was interviewed on the local tv news and said that her mother had these mites oozing out from EVERYWHERE.
Apparently, these things aren't highly infectuous.
