You would think that after the last one the crane people and the city would be extra vigilant. Quality and Safety cost money, but when you don't do it.....the costs are much greater - human life.
You would think that.... the City had a crackdown on the way these cranes are inspected. This site (that collapsed today) was inspected twice in the past week. Someone missed something!!
