"Cat On a Hot Tin Roof" is my favorite Paul Newman movie and PROBABLY his best role. Its a tremendous character study of family relationships and of emotional pain and the acting is peerless by the entire cast.
If I had to sum the movie up in one word, I'd use "powerful", and I'd HIGHLY recommend it to anyone wanting to watch a GREAT drama.
Burl Ives is wonderful and the scene with him and Newman in the basement is among the best I've EVER watched.
