How about Kobe Bryant? Just a couple of years ago he was fighting for his life in a rape trial. Today, the Lakers are the number one seed in the Western Conference and Kobe was this year's MVP.
Kind of like Ray Lewis. One year he's charged with murder for a death on Super Sunday; the following year he's a Super Bowl MVP.
BTW, only one other linebacker won a Super Bowl MVP. Anybody know who?
