I belong to Costco, so I never knew that it was open to everyone. However, the local paper had a front-page article about it. And guess who tipped off the local paper? One of the local gas station owners! He was so furious when he found out that Costco Gasoline was open to everyone that he called the local paper to complain about it! He's charging 40 to 50 cents a gallon MORE, and he's the one who let everyone know that they could buy gas there!

Smart businessman!

Back in early March I posted the following about Costco right here in this topic .......

But I understand that there is some kind of arguing, within the industry, going on right now that Costco Gas should NOT be exclusive to it's members at a cheaper price! Rumor has it that they may be forced to offer their gasoline to everyone, regardless if they are a Costco member or not. And that's going to translate into Costco rasing the price of their gasoline if this goes through.

.....I guess that it finally happened. \:\/
