Yea, I know what you mean. I was able to claim my daughters through college. It was approximately 400/500 less in my refund check, as I dropped them. Now I've had to claim "single/head of household". The interest/taxes on pay for my home is the plus for me and THE major deduction. If it werent for that I'd probably never get a refund. As it is, for some reason, I always owe the state of CA between 50 - $150., but always get back at least $1,500 or more from the Feds.


I think they need a way less complicated tax system to avoid all the confusion. But then, who is listening to me? ;\)
