In the novel, "Felix Bocchicchio" is the only educated member of the clan that's dumb and can be used only as hostages and insurance for sit-downs. He's the one who gets rooked in a business deal, goes to jail, kills his partner and eventually goes to the chair after his family makes a deal with the Don for him to confess to the Sollozzo/McCluskey murders, permitting Michael to return. Well, there appears to have been a real- life Felix Bocchicchio. While reading a chapter on the Mob and boxing in Stephen Fox's book, "Blood and Power," I learned that the aforesaid Felix managed Jersey Joe Wolcott. He's described as "close to organized crime in Philadelphia and Camden [NJ]." Anyone know anything about this guy?
