Actually, Clemenza mentioned West 43rd Street, which is up north, in Hell's Kitchen. I was referring to (half jokingly) my aunt's building on West 8th, in Greenwich Village. It's right by Macdougal Street and Washington Square Park (Al's first starring film was PANIC IN NEEDLE PARK, set in and around WSP).

It's a different place now, though. Yuppies, artists, liberals and entertainers. Robert DeNiro lives not to far away, over on North Moore Street.

It's one of the best "summer" neighborhoods in New York City. There's lots to do, you can walk to anything and the restaurants!! Oh my God!!
