My mother still darns socks. She also saves old bread. She puts it into the oven to dry out, and makes bread crumbs. "Waste not, want not"!

My entire family makes fun of me and my laundry. I rarely use the dryer for the girls' stuff, but hang dry them, especially my younger one. She's grown almost 5 inches this year, but hasn't gained much weight, so I have a hard time finding her pants. When I do, I'm not taking a chance on shrinking them in the dryer. I even iron her jeans.
