I saw them in early 1982 in Asbury Park NJ ( Small Venue). It was a killer show and although many would argue that it would have been better to see them earlier in there career, like 1977-1979, I think they were in their prime. Seeing a band early in their career just sounds better and in better in a few cases.

When would you rather have seen the Beatles in the Ed Sulivan Theater or on the Rooftop at Apple.

The second time I saw them was a staduim show w/ The Who. Good but never measured up to the raw energy of a small venue.

I tried to see them a third time right around the height of their stardom but could'nt get a ticket.
