Well, I guess it's time for me to 'fess up. I was born when FDR was President. Probably my earliest childhood is of my mom and the other women in our apartment building in Brooklyn, sitting in the front of the building on wooden folding chairs and weeping when he died.
One of my favorite Presidential trivas:
Most people know that Gerald R. Ford was the only President who took office without appearing on a Presidential ballot or receiving a single electoral vote. Not everybody knows that he was the only President who was born with different first, middle and last names than those with which he was sworn in. He was born Leslie Lynch King, Jr., and took the name Gerald R. Ford Jr. in honor of his stepfather, Ford Sr.
