This discussion inspired me to do some research on when JFK was in Grand Rapids, MI during his campaign. I can't believe I found this photo from October of 1960. I assume this is the same visit in which I saw him. By the picture, and my memory of G.R., this was after he passed by the Catholic School I attended when the entire school (all of about 50 kids ) walked to the corner to see him.

The sign on the building "Wurzburgs", was a big department store my mom would always shop at. And, for those of you who remember, see the S & H Green stamp sign on the building? Remember those?
