Gonna go with Tom Hagen, as he so often arranges the dirty tricks and cover-ups for his Godfather... (But if it's just about breaking into a hotel room, and you're allowing GFII moments, then Ola's killer could be the guy).
I need a little more in the clue. My Hallmark question might have been answered CLEMENZA ("I love-a you with all my heart...If I don't see you soon I'm-a gonna die." Certainly a Hallmark sentiment). But the car/subway/bus clue points to a kid-- Frankie.
Many things about Hunt and Liddy can apply to many characters (Loyal soldiers? Involved in break-ins, bugging? Took a fall for their leader? Once worked for the CIA?) So I don't really know. Luca Brazi's backstory has him doing a lot of the dirty work for the Don. (Who put the horse's head in Woltz' bed?) Need that extra little hint. Anyway...
