I don't mean to offend anyone either. but the Godfather is a NYC, Las Vegas and Sicily story. FFC and company took pride in keeping the locations authenic. Now that it being violated-which is truly unforgiveable. The Matrix was good, but it is SCI-FI/Fx picture. Therfore, location was not too important.
