GF1 takes place between 1945-1955
GF2 between 1901-1925, and 1958-1960.
GF3 take splace from 1979-Easter 1980. The scene with Mike dying is YEARS later in 1997.
He means that the next movie could start in 1985 etc. and hav eMike in it!
