I think FFC is a better screen adapter than attempting to tell an orginal story. Lets face it, All of his big screen successes are stories that he adapted from novels, ( Patton, Hearts of Darkness, Godfather, and Rainmaker). Puzo should have written the continuation in a novel, and FFC would adapted it into a movie.
