I think they should leave well enough alone. Though I'm sure Coppola would do a decent job if given the proper time to put it together, he wouldn't have Puzo to bounce ideas off and let's face it, he's the (pun intended) Godfather of "The Godfather."

I don't think a present day story with Vincent would be compelling. What hurt III was the fact that Hagen, Fredo, Sonny, etc were dead and gone, leaving only Michael and Connie as the only Corleones from their generation. The flashback story going back to the thirties sounds promising, but they'd have to get another actor to succeed DeNiro as Young Vito.

But what I really hope is that this film is NEVER, I repeat, NEVER REMADE!!
