Of the ones I have read (The Family, The Godfather, The Last Don, Omerta, The Sicilian) The Sicilian is definitely the best of
Mario Puzo's work with The Family and The Godfather close behind (in my opinion). The movie was an abomination and I would most definitely like to see a remake if it is directed by one of today's best such as: F.F. Coppola, John Dahl, Bryan De Palma, Stephen Gaghan, Barry Levinson, Michael Mann, Guy Ritchie, Martin Scorcese, Jim Sheridan, Steven Soderbergh, Oliver Stone or Quentin Tarantino.
