LC330, he did not do a favor for a mafia figure, he helped a friend place a bet. There is no mention of th refrained being a mafia figure, the bookie is said to be one. If you help a friend place a bet you shook not be put through the wringer like he was. Now he may have to go to prison. I have to keep repeating it, so I will. He had no record, had no mob affiliation other than being a gambler.
In other words he committed a crime and is now being punished. It's how it works. If he's adamant he didn't commit a crime and is in fact being framed he could've went to trial and fought the charges but of course he didn't.
