That judge almost made it impossible that this didn't end up in a mistrial. Banning any word affiliated with organized crime?
Since the last two decades the Outfit's alleged main goal was and probably still is the infiltration of many lucrative legitimate enterprises, and also all of those donations to local politicians, I believe that the Outfit is probably still present in Chicago's politics and city wards to an extent, mainly with the help of those same "legal" donations and connections. So when some "street problem" occurs such as this one, these guys are probably still able to pull some strings here and there and to walk out free.
