“Gambling” operation: prosecutor Sara Amerio's indictment in court

“Gambling” trial: heavy hand of the anti-mafia prosecutor's office on the organization that did a profitable business with online sports betting. In Court, yet another excerpt from the inter-force operation which crushed the network that revolved around the then boss of the betting centers Mario Gennaro , who became a collaborator of justice a few weeks after his arrest for the "Gambling" blitz and his extradition from Malta where he had moved his headquarters. Since then Mario Gennaro has transformed himself into the great accuser. During the indictment, before the Collegiate Court, the Public Prosecutor of the District Anti-Mafia Directorate, Sara Amerio, reiterated the serious accusation by making a series of requests for convictions, some of which were as heavy as a boulder. In detail: Mario Vardè (25 years of imprisonment), Antonino Alvaro (18 years), Cristian Costantino (21 years), Domenico Lagrotteria (13 years), Davide Taher (11 years).
The Prosecutor's Office requested a 9-year sentence for Alessandro Ciaffi and Giovanni Ciarfaglia .
More limited sentences for Cosimo and Giancarlo Apice (4 years and 2 months); Silvio Baione (7 years), Cesare Cardamone (7 years), D omenico and Gaetano Cipolla (4 years and 2 months), Francesco Dattola (4 years and 2 months), Francesco Giardino (7 years), Giovanni Maringolo (4 years and 2 months), Francesco Ollio (4 years and 2 months), Antonio Pantisano (7 years), Sasha Ruggieri (4 years and months), Francesco Sergi (2 years and 8 years). Acquittal requested for Marianna Nava.
