Jaouad W.: according to justice, main character in murder organization

The police see Joey (Jaouad) W. (44) , who was placed in pre-trial detention again on Tuesday morning, as one of the main characters in the criminal murder organization also called the 26Koper group. These men are said to have carried out murders on behalf of Ridouan Taghi.

W. is now suspected of involvement in the murders of Mohamed Alarasi (January 20, 2014 in Amersfoort), Rinus Moerer (April 14, 2014 in Steenbergen) and Samir Jabli (December 1, 2014 in Amersfoort).

He may also be prosecuted for the double murder along the A27 highway, at a restaurant near Houten, of Pieter Vos and Jaap Zillig in 2011.

Taghi has not yet been charged with any of these five liquidations.

A breakthrough in the 26Koper investigation were the witness statements of Ebrahim B. who felt so unsafe in the summer of 2015 that he reported to a police station and said that he was seriously threatened by Ridouan Taghi's group. He was interrogated several times by the police. B. indicated that he recognized a man who had previously chased him with the car. He identified that man as a 'hitman' of Taghi, and mentioned the name of Joey, a Surinamese from Nieuwegein.

In 2022 Ebrahim Buzhu, nicknamed 'The Butcher', has been found dead in a burnt-out car in southern Spain.

Delano G., the suspected gunman in the attack on Peter R. de Vries, is a cousin of Joey W.
