Ofcourse walking through NY you see many references to the Dutch, Utrecht Avenue for example.

Brooklyn a settlement southeast of New Amsterdam was given the same name as the town southeast of Amsterdam in The Netherlands: Breukelen.

Harlem was given the same name as the dutch town Haarlem etc...
