Frenchmen arrested with weapons in Waalhaven, 'wanted to record rap'
January 15, 2024

On Tuesday, January 9, Customs arrested seven men aged 18 to 27 from France in the Waalhaven in the port of Rotterdam. The men were in possession of firearms and said they wanted to record a rap.

The seven men were arrested after 'a suspicious situation' in the Waalhaven, the Seaport Police reported on Monday. All suspects were arrested under the Weapons and Ammunition Act and received a fine of 1,000 euros per person.

The weapons have been seized for further investigation.

It is unclear whether the men actually wanted to record a rap video or were in the Waalhaven to possibly obtain a shipment of drugs.
