Dutch and Mexicans arrested after discovery of drug lab in Giessenburg

The police found a drug lab in a business premises in Giessenburg (South Holland) on Saturday. Seven men were arrested in the building: two Dutch, four Mexicans and a Pole.

Raid
An arrest team entered the business premises on Parallelweg in Giessenburg on Saturday morning around 7 a.m. This happened after a police investigation by the National Criminal Investigation Department. A drug lab for producing synthetic drugs was found in the building. Seven men who were found in the building were immediately arrested. It concerns four Mexicans, two Dutch and a Pole.

Hundreds of liters of chemicals
In the building, the police found hundreds of liters of chemicals for the manufacture of synthetic drugs. A sleeping area was also found next to the production line. It is still unclear whether this could possibly be a crystal meth lab.

The mayor has immediately closed the building administratively.

The seven men have been arrested for questioning and will be arraigned at the court in Den Bosch on Tuesday.
