REPTILE

Will Grady (Justin Timberlake) stars as a real-estate agent, who discovers the dead body of his partner Summer (Matilda Anna Ingrid Lutz) at one of their properties. Tom Nichols (Benicio Del Toro), an honest cop who previously had a crooked partner, is assigned the case and stops at nothing to solve it. The only thing he loves more than being a cop is his wife Judy (Alicia Silverstone). A slow burner of a thriller, the story unfolds sometimes at a snails pace. And while the audience (or at least me) guessed the final outcome early on, the film overstays itself by continuing this song-and-dance operata with the audience. A very well selected and balanced cast featuring the likes of Del Toro, Silvertone, Timerlake, Eric Bogosian, Michael Pitt, and Karl Glusman. This could have been wrapped up a little quicker and my score would have increased had it been tighter. Still a film worthy of your time. 6.5/10
