Fight against the 'Ndrangheta, Australian police and Reggio magistrates compared
The meeting served to discuss the collaboration between the DDA of Reggio Calabria and the AFP on the fight against gangs in Australia

A delegation of the Australian federal police (AFP), led by commander Raegan Stewart and by the national manager examination of ACIC (Australian criminal intelligence commission) Jason Halls, was received by the Reggio Calabria district anti-mafia directorate and in particular by the prosecutor Giovanni Bombardieri and by the 'added Giuseppe Lombardo.

The meeting, organized at the Cedir as part of the I-Can (Interpol cooperation against 'Ndrangheta) project, was used to discuss the collaboration between the DDA of Reggio Calabria and the AFP on the fight against the 'Ndrangheta in Australia.

Prosecutor Bombardieri expressed great appreciation for the visit of the AFP delegation who recalled how yesterday afternoon's meeting at the Cedir "followed last year's meeting at the international conference against Italian organized crime which was held in Melbourne and which testifies to the ever-increasing commitment of the Australian federal police in contrasting the 'Ndrangheta projections in that countryā€¯.

The I-can project, launched in 2020 in Reggio Calabria, now includes 18 countries and aims to spread awareness of the fluid threat represented by the 'Ndrangheta all over the world and to share experiences and information.
