Mexican drug cartel leader arrested in Spain, also stayed in the Netherlands

The Spanish National Police in a joint operation with the Colombian and American police in Madrid have arrested a leader of the Mexican drug cartel Los Zetas. He would represent the interests of the network in Europe. A total of five people were arrested and 400 kilos of cocaine, 220,000 euros in cash, two vehicles, ten telephones and various documents were also seized.

The Netherlands
The "European" leader of Los Zetas, according to the authorities, is said to be a Colombian nicknamed "El Repetido". His two brothers would also belong to the same criminal organization that was involved in large-scale cocaine smuggling. Drug trafficker “El Repetido” led a kind of nomadic life in Europe, but reportedly stayed mainly in Madrid and the Netherlands.

During the operation, 400 kilos of cocaine, 220,000 euros in cash, two vehicles, ten telephones and documentation were seized.

Cooperation
According to the Spanish police, thanks to international cooperation with the Colombian authorities, leaders of the Colombia-based criminal organization have been arrested and thus dismantled in the various countries in which it operated.
