To add to the record heat we're experiencing here in AZ (evcn in the high desert where I live):
On Sunday afternoon, we heard a muffled "boom" and the house shook. Turned out we were feeling a 3.8 magnitude earthquake that struck about 20 miles north of us. No damage or injuries.
What's next? A volcano?
