This is from a wedding at Vittorio Castle on September 29, 1943.

At the time, Catena was an associate and was Zwillman’s driver. Similarly, Stassi was an associate working for Zwillman. Stacher and Katz were also a part of this gang known as the Third Ward Mob. Boiardo was the leader of his own gang. Battaglia was a Genovese solider under Willie Moretti having been an ex-Newark Family member prior

Catena and Boiardo were made into the Moretti crew a few months after this, around December 1943. Stassi was made in the early ‘50s, unclear what crew he was with.

Vittorio Castle, along with the rest of the neighborhood known as the First Ward - Newark’s Little Italy, doesn’t exist anymore. Post WW2, a lot of the Italian residents moved to the suburbs. The neighborhood itself was razed in 1953 to build public housing projects.
