From investigations carried out in 2013, which led to the arrest of 35 alleged affiliates, it emerged that the heirs of the clan appointed the boss Carlo Di Meo as regent of the criminal activity, who would have signed an alliance with Cosa Nostra, in particular with the boss Vincenzo La Placa of Palermo.
