A towering performance by George C. Scott that's refreshing to see the Academy feel the same way and reward such an effort with an Oscar win. Today's world needs more General Patton's in it! The action scenes are lacking but that's not surprising being the film was released in 1970 (and I daresay they weren't known for their action scenes back then). Surprised to see Francis Ford Coppola as a writer on this however. 6/10
