A severe blow to the ‘Ndrangheta of Crotone was inflicted this morning by the District Anti-Mafia Directorate of Catanzaro which triggered an operation against the so-called Locale of Mesoraca, which led to the arrest of over thirty subjects. In fact, exactly thirty-one people ended up in handcuffs, for twenty-seven of whom the prison doors were thrown open, while house arrest was arranged for the remaining four. The DDA challenges them, for various reasons, the criminal association of mafia origin, the external competition in the same, the extortion aggravated by the mafia method, the criminal association aimed at the illicit trafficking of waste, the illicit management of the same, the criminal association for the purpose of trafficking, producing and selling drugs and other crimes, with the aggravating circumstance of being an armed association.
