'Ndrangheta in Bra: asked for 28 years in prison for Salvatore Luppino

ASTI Twenty-eight years in prison for Salvatore Luppino, 22 and 17 for his brothers Vincenzo and Carmelo: these are the requests formulated by the prosecution,the Turin anti-mafia district directorate, for criminal association crimes mafia and drug trafficking at the criminal meeting chaired by judge Matteo Bertelli Motta.

The legal case follows the blitz of the Carabinieri and Police who, in June 2020, arrested twelve people, including the Luppino brothers, accused of having managed a "locale", that is a cell of the 'Ndrangheta in Bra. According to the investigators at the head of the clan was Salvatore Luppino, now in prison in Civitavecchia (Rome): the group would have managed a thriving drug and arms trafficking using as a base, together with a garage in the town center, the premises of the Rainbow Circle, in via XXIV Maggio. The bar run by the family is at the center of another legal matter: the murder of the thirty-year-old Albanian Avenir Hysaj whose body was found, in March 2021, in the fortresses of Pocapaglia,
